Xanatos wants to thank the clan for saving his son. What better thank-you than sorting out the three souls in Coldstone’s body? Problem is, Xanatos and Demona created Coldstone through science and sorcery. It will take science and sorcery again to sort out the souls. Without Demona, Xanatos doesn’t have any magic users at his disposal, though. Or does he? The answer is much closer than he thinks.

Gargoyles: Legion – Episode Review Continued

We’re about to face the Legion in Coldstone’s mind. One look in his skull leaves no question why he’s not the most stable reanimated gargoyle in the world. To make things infinitely worse, the virus that infected Coldstone when he downloaded the Department of Defense weapons specs is growing. It’s destroying the program that creates his world and keeps him functional. Goliath uses virtual reality to enter Coldstone’s mind, but will the clan leader fall victim to the virus too? What will become of Coldstone? And how will Xanatos benefit from all this?

Through Demona’s sorcery and David Xanatos’s science, the gargoyle who died in the destruction of the Wyvern Clan walked the earth again. But the very sorceress who gave him life shot him in the chest with a laser, sending him into the icy river. Now, seven months later, he’s having his second Reawakening. Things are more complicated than ever, though. Not one but three gargoyles body parts make up his mortal coil; their three spirits struggle for control over his body. And what part does Xanatos play in all this?

Gargoyles: Reawakening – Episode Review Continued

Grab your pitchforks and torches, because it’s time to jump back into the monster action! We’ll learn more about Coldstone, as well as the other antagonists. Goliath and the clan reach a turning point in their lives as they find their purpose.

This is the last episode of season 1, which means it has to wrap up the season in a satisfying way. As you watch this ep and read the review, imagine what it would be like if we never saw another Gargoyles ep. Imagine if there was only one season. It’s okay if you need a drink afterward.

The Grimorum Arcanorum’s pages resurface in a necromancy ceremony courtesy of our favorite genocidal gargoyle Demona, and the ever-experimenting trickster David Xanatos. It’s Dr Frankenstein meets Sauron. They reanimate a gargoyle from Goliath’s past. How will this “abomination” that’s lost its purpose help Goliath find meaning in life?

This is the last episode of season 1. It’s one of the best!
